Itinerary
The full-day excursion to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah and Ouarzazate (approximately 8 hours of travel) starts from Marrakech. Your driver/guide will pick you up from your accommodation at 8:00 am and head toward Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert. First, there will be a stop in the village of Ait Berka at the base of the High Atlas Mountains. Then, continue to the top of the Tizi N-Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters above sea level, enjoying the beautiful landscapes and panoramic views of Morocco’s highest mountain range.
Next, visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This kasbah has been the set for famous films such as Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and TV series like Game of Thrones. Lunch is included at the kasbah.
Afterward, continue to the city of Ouarzazate to visit the Atlas Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. Finally, return to Marrakech in the afternoon and be dropped off at your accommodation.
