Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tangier
Welcome to Morocco. Upon arrival, enjoy a brief tour of the city before being transferred to your hotel in the medina.
Day 2: Tangier – Chefchaouen
Travel through the Rif Mountains, enjoying the scenic views en route to Chefchaouen. Explore the city, famous for its blue and white painted houses, and stay overnight in a small local riad or hotel.
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast, visit Moulay Idriss , an important religious site. Continue to Volubilis, an archaeological site with well-preserved Roman ruins (UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997). Finish the day in Meknes, visiting Bab el-Mansour and Bab el-Khamis gates before arriving in Fez.
Day 4: Guided tour in Fez
Spend the day exploring Fez, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities. Visit the El Bali Medina, Merinid Tombs, Royal Palace, Bou-Inania or Attarine Medersa, Nejjarine Square, and the Mellah Jewish quarter. Overnight in a local riad.
Day 5: Fez – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
Travel to Merzouga through the Middle Atlas Mountains, cedar forests, and charming villages such as Ifrane and Azrou. Stop for lunch in Midelt and continue through the Ziz Valley to reach the famous Erg Chebbi dunes, staying overnight in nomad tents.
Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Watch the sunrise over Merzouga dunes before departing for Boumalen Dades, passing through Jorf and Tinjdad. Visit the Todra Gorges, then continue to Boumalen Dades for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
Early morning visit to the Valley of Roses, then continue to Ouarzazate through the Skoura oasis. Visit Taourirt Kasbah and optionally the Ouarzazate film studios, known as Morocco’s Hollywood. Overnight in a local riad or hotel.
Day 8: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Visit the ancient Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and cross the highest mountain pass in North Africa to reach Marrakech. Free afternoon and overnight in a riad in the medina.
Day 9: Guided tour in Marrakech
Explore Marrakech’s main attractions: Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, and Bahia Palace. In the afternoon, visit Jemaa el-Fna Square and its souks.
Day 10: Marrakech – Agadir
Travel to the coastal city of Agadir. Free day to explore the city or relax on the beach. Overnight in a local hotel.
Day 11: Agadir – Essaouira
Continue to Essaouira, also known as Mogador, ideal for fishing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. Visit the port with boats decorated by local fishermen. Overnight in a local riad.
Day 12: Essaouira – Casablanca
Drive along the coast to Casablanca, with stops in Safi and El Jadida. Free afternoon to explore the city. Overnight in a local hotel.
Day 13: Casablanca – Rabat
Visit Casablanca’s main attractions: Mohammed V Square, Arab League Park, and Hassan II Mosque. Continue to Rabat to see Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Overnight in a local hotel.
Day 14: Rabat – Asilah
Travel to Asilah, a coastal town with narrow streets and white houses with blue details. Explore the medina and stay overnight in a local riad.
Day 15: Asilah – Tangier
After breakfast, return to Tangier with stops at interesting sites along the way. Transfer to the port or airport for your scheduled departure.
