8-Day Tour from Casablanca to Marrakech

Day 1: Casablanca – Fez
Your private tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Casablanca. Visit the city’s main cultural landmarks before heading to Fez, where you’ll spend the night in a local riad or hotel.

Day 2: Fez – Guided City Tour
Explore Morocco’s oldest city, walking through its narrow streets and souks. Start at the Royal Palace of Fez, then visit the Mellah Jewish quarter, Morocco’s first built in the 16th century. Discover cultural and historical sites such as Al Quaraouiyine University, traditional tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. After lunch, explore local cooperatives and finish with a panoramic view of the medina before returning to your riad.

Day 3: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga
After breakfast, travel toward the desert passing through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to Barbary monkeys. Continue to Midelt for lunch, then cross the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani, famous for its lively souk. Finally, arrive in Merzouga for overnight in a local hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga and the Sahara Desert
Swap your vehicle for camels to experience the desert firsthand. Ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes and learn about Berber nomadic life. Visit the village of Khamlia for a Gnawa music performance and have a traditional Berber pizza lunch in Rissani. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel ride to watch the sunset and spend the night in a desert camp under the stars with a traditional dinner, mint tea, and Berber music around the fire.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
Wake up early to witness the sunrise in the desert and return by camel to the village. Travel to Tinghir to see the spectacular Todra Gorges, Morocco’s most famous canyon. After lunch, continue to the Dades Valley, known for rock formations called “Monkey Fingers,” and stay overnight in a riad or hotel.

Day 6: Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Drive along the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs,” stopping at Kalaat Mgouna, famous for its Rose Festival. Visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in films like Gladiator and series such as Game of Thrones. Finally, cross the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass to reach Marrakech for overnight stay.

Day 7: Marrakech – Guided Tour
Full day to explore Marrakech’s treasures: Jemaa el-Fna, Koutoubia Mosque, souks, palaces, and museums. Discover the modern district of Gueliz, Menara Gardens, and Jardin Majorelle.

Day 8: Marrakech – Casablanca (Mohammed V Airport)
Depending on your flight time, enjoy your last hours in Marrakech visiting less touristy spots and having lunch at a local restaurant before transfer to the airport or your hotel in Casablanca.
