A 2-day tour from Fes to Merzouga is a short but intense experience, perfect for those who want to discover the magic of the desert in a limited time. The journey begins early in the morning from Fes, crossing the Middle Atlas region, where the landscapes transition from green mountains to arid plains.
The first stop is in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its European-style architecture and unique natural surroundings. We continue through cedar forests and picturesque valleys until reaching the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga.
Once in the desert, you will enjoy the unforgettable experience of a camel ride at sunset and spend the night in a traditional camp under the Sahara stars. The next day, after sunrise and breakfast, we begin the return journey to Fes, concluding a brief but memory-filled adventure.

Itinerary
Day 1: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
Our private tour begins with a journey towards the Atlas Mountains, with stops in the towns of Azrou and Ifrane, where we will explore the famous cedar forest, home to the Berber monkeys.
We continue to Midelt, crossing the Tiz Ntalghamt mountain pass and the Ziz Gorge, where we can stop to take photos and enjoy a local mint tea. The route continues through the Ziz Valley, passing Erfoud and Rissani, a traditional oasis, before reaching the Sahara Desert.
Upon arrival at the Erg Chebbi dunes, we switch from the 4×4 to camels (optional) to head to the desert camp. Once there, we will enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and an unforgettable night under the starry sky.
Day 2: Merzouga – Midelt – Fes
We will start early to watch the sunrise over the dunes and return by camel (optional) to the village, where we will have breakfast at a local hotel. Then, we begin the journey back through Rissani and Erfoud, with stops along the way, before crossing Ifrane again and finally arriving in Fes.
